Description
Cilantro microgreens is a member of the aromatic flowering plant family that includes carrot, celery and parsley. Cilantro microgreens are indeed aromatic, with a citrusy and grassy flavour. Cilantro is used in many cuisines such as Latin American and Asian cuisines. People may have strong reactions to the flavor, with some loving it and some hating it. The leaves, stalk, seeds and roots of the plant can be used. These microgreens are delicious added to scrambled eggs, in salsas and guacamole, on top of tacos and curries and in dips. Check out some of these amazing recipes here. In addition to the excellent flavor, cilantro microgreens are highly nutritious.
The cilantro microgreen has a sweet, bright aroma and is quite bold. In contrast to full-size cilantro, microgreen cilantro is slightly peppery and has a little bit of grassiness. It also smells much different than mature cilantro and doesn’t have the musty smell that many people dislike. Cilantro pairs well with avocado, carrots, zucchini, tomato, coconut milk, citrus, ginger, mint, lemongrass, chile peppers, yogurt, chicken, lamb, and white fish.
