Microgreens Powder

Microgreens Powder

Microgreens Powder was forged in an attempt to save our family farm’s crop from the covid shutdowns. We had trays and trays of greens supposed to be heading to restaurants but they could no longer go to restaurants so we had to pivot and microgreens powder is one of those pivots. We truly thank you for your consideration or purchase as our farm supports our entire family.

We grow fresh, Lakeland local, chemical-free microgreens from non-GMO certified seeds, for restaurants, athletes, juice bars, health conscience consumers, and Farm-to-table events. Sometimes we run into things in life that require us to have a more shelf-stable option. How can you take a microgreen and turn it into something that is shelf-stable?? Luckily we discovered that we could take our delicious product, lose water but not lose many nutrients or taste because of our method. Dried Microgreens are nutritious, flavorful, and shelf-stable providing an easy way to add greens into your diet.

Microgreens are simply 10 days old, regular vegetables.  At this stage, they contain large amounts of stored nutrients, designed to help the plant get to a point where it starts making more by putting down big roots and developing leaves.  The process is one I describe as when a baby is born they do not grow more fingers just the finger they have to grow larger and its the same with a plant it has all it needs it just disperse more throughout the plant, meaning you need to eat more the older it gets. Who wants to eat a huge head of broccoli when a small handful of micros will be more than sufficient. Microgreens are known to contain up to 40 times the nutritional benefits of their adult counterpart. So we decided to gently dry them removing 93% of the non-nutritive moisture content.

We’ve got a grip on the world’s very heart because the health benefits we provide are priceless ones.

Our Available Microgreens powders include:

Vitality Blend (Cruciferous Blend)

Cruciferous veggies are a diverse group that includes broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, bok choy, arugula, Brussels sprouts, collards, watercress, and radishes. Fun fact: The name “cruciferous” is an informal classification for members of the mustard family and comes from the Latin cruciferae meaning “cross-bearing,” because the four petals resemble a cross.

Most cruciferous vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals such as folate and vitamin K. Dark green cruciferous veggies also are a source of vitamins A and C and contain phytonutrients — plant-based compounds that may help to lower inflammation and reduce the risk of developing cancer. Cruciferous vegetables also are rich in fiber and low in calories, a combination that will help you feel full and satisfied without overeating.
